- Refresh your water every 2-3 days and this could be part of your morning routine.
- The crock works best with real butter instead of margarine.
- Clarified butter (also known as Ghee) and whipped butter are not recommended for use in the butter crock.
- Herbal butters are fine to store in butter crock, however, they will not stay fresh as long as pure butter. Butters that contain fresh herbs will stay fresh approximately 5 to 7 days in the butter crock.
Butter Falls Out of the Lid into Water?
- Make sure to use softened butter when you fill the bell.
- Make sure the bell is completely dry before refilling.
- Make sure the water is cold enough. Drop an ice cube into the water if your environment is too hot.
- Make sure to press the butter firmly without leaving air holes by using the back of the spoon.
